Canon Europa N.V. Terms & Conditions


    1.1. This promotion is only available on purchases made of any of the products listed as eligible products on this site (the “Promotional Products”) within the Promotional Territories (see below) between the period of 15th  October  2019 to 31st March 2020inclusive (the “Promotional Period”).

    1.2. All Participants (each a “Participant”) must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in the European Economic Area or Switzerland (EEA) (the “Promotional Territories”).

    1.3. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions (hereinafter these “Terms”).

    1.4. All Promotional Products must be new and genuine Canon products.  Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion.

    1.5. The Promotional Products must: (i) be owned by the Participant on the date of the Claim (as defined in clause 2.1): (ii) be registered to an address within the Promotional Territories: (iii) where applicable, have been supplied and distributed to retailers either by a Canon Group Company or by authorized Distributors located in the EEA: and (iv) have been purchased from a Canon Group Company, from a retailer within the Promotional Territories or from an Internet store with a domain or a registered address within the Promotional Territories.


    2.1. To enter the promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional Product within the Promotional Territory during the Promotional Period and the Promotional Product must have been purchased as either a new product or to replace an existing / current A3 Scanner AND submit a valid claim in respect of that purchase online (a “Claim”) between 00.00 on  15th  October  2019 and midnight on  30th April  2020 (the “Claim Period”).

    2.2. Where the Participant has purchased a Promotional Product as a new device or product, that Participant must make a Claim on the basis of clause 3.1 of these Terms (“NEW Product Claim”).

    2.3. Where the Participant has purchased a Promotional Product to replace an existing / current A3 Scanner, that Participant must make a Claim on the basis of clause 3.2 of these Terms (“Replacement Product Claim”).

    2.4. Claims must be submitted by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid EEA product serial number) the relevant Claim form that is available online. All Participants will need to scan, upload and attach to the Claim form a copy of their till receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases (“Proof of Purchase”).

    2.5. Where the particpant is making a Replacement Product Claim in addition to the Proof of Purchase they will need to provide details of scanner being replaced, this being [serial number, brand, model, and image of the serial number of the replaced product.

    2.6. Once a Claim has been submitted Participants will receive an email confirming that their Claim has been received.  If a Participant does not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours of submitting a Claim, or a Participant does not have access to a computer, a Participant should contact the Canon Claim Hotline on [insert].

    2.7. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last.  Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.

    2.8. Canon will not process any Claims received after the closing date for the Claim Period.

    2.9. Canon will not process Claims which are in its opinion incomplete or illegible and Canon will not be responsible for Claims that are delayed or not successfully received.

    2.10. Subject to stocks levels, there is no limit to the number of Claims Participants can submit provided there is one Claim for each Promotional Product purchased.

    2.11. This promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion.


    3.1. Where a Participant has made a NEW Product Claim a Participant will receive a Canon Flatbed 201 Scanner (“Scanner”).

    3.2. Where a Participant has made a Replacement Product Claim Participants will receive a Scanner AND Cashback in the amounts shown for purchases of Promotional Products on our website.


    3.3. Upon receipt and verification of the relevant NEW Product Claim or the relevant Replacement Product Claim (as the case may be) Canon will arrange for the Scanner to be shipped to the address provided by the Participant on the Claim form.


    3.4. Upon receipt and verification of the Relevant Replacement Product Claim, Canon will arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank account.  No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.

    3.5. Canon will endeavour to transfer via BACS within 28 days of receipt of a complete and valid Replacement Product Claim.

    3.6. Only one BACS payment will be issued per valid Replacement Product Claim.

    3.7. If you are registered for value added tax in your country and you receive a cashback, it may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and so you may need to reduce your input tax accordingly.

    5.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.

    5.2. Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever.

    5.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any Claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents if required. Canon reserves the right to exclude Claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way.  Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.


    6.1. . Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. Any personal data submitted to us will be processed by Interpay Sales Promotions Ltd, IDA Business & Technology Park, Ring Road, Kilkenny, Ireland for the purpose of administering this Promotion. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA.

    6.2. . The personal data collected from Participants is subject to the Canon Business and Canon Consumer Privacy Policies available at


    These Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands and will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
